Kain Weaver, M.D.

I’m Dr. Kain Weaver, a board-certified psychiatrist and founder of Resilient Minds Psychiatry and Wellness.

I work with individuals who are often high functioning, driven, and used to performing at a high level, but internally may be dealing with anxiety, burnout, depression, attention difficulties, or a growing sense that something feels “off.” Many of my patients have spent years pushing through on their own and are looking for a more thoughtful, precise, and individualized approach to their mental health.

My practice is intentionally designed to be different from traditional, high-volume psychiatry. I work with a limited number of patients and offer longer, in-depth appointments so we can take the time to truly understand what’s going on beneath the surface. My approach is collaborative, strategic, and grounded in evidence—integrating therapy, lifestyle optimization, and medication when it’s genuinely helpful.

I place a strong emphasis on helping patients not just feel better, but function better - with greater clarity, consistency, and resilience in both their personal and professional lives.

My perspective as a psychiatrist has been deeply shaped by my own experience as a patient.

During my first year of residency, I survived a life-threatening brain arteriovenous malformation rupture that required emergency brain surgery and a prolonged recovery. I later developed epilepsy as a result. There was a time when I was told I might not return to medicine.

Going through that experience gave me a firsthand understanding of what it means to navigate uncertainty, loss of control, and the long road back to stability. It also changed how I practice. I don’t take a rushed or surface-level approach to care. I take the time to listen carefully, think critically, and build a plan that actually fits your life.

In our work together, you can expect a comprehensive and structured initial evaluation where we clarify what’s been happening, what’s driving it, and what needs to change. From there, we develop a plan that is practical, sustainable, and tailored specifically to you—whether that includes therapy, lifestyle adjustments, or medication.

I completed my medical training at Mercer University School of Medicine and my psychiatric residency in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve been practicing as a board-certified psychiatrist since 2023, providing outpatient care including therapy, medication management, and TMS.

Outside of work, I value structure and consistency in my own life. I’m a regular in the early morning workout routine, enjoy being outdoors, and appreciate a good cup of coffee. I live in the Tampa area with my partner and our two cats.

If you’re looking for a more intentional, high-quality approach to your mental health—one that prioritizes depth, clarity, and long-term results—I’d be glad to work with you.

Also Offered: Executive and Mental Performance Coaching

  • For high-performing professionals who want to think more clearly, operate more effectively, and sustain performance without burnout.

  • You’ve already achieved a high level of success. This work is about refining how you think, decide, and operate under pressure.

  • This is not therapy. This is structured, forward-focused coaching designed to optimize performance, leadership, and quality of life. These sessions do not involve diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions. If clinical care is needed, this can be discussed separately through psychiatric services offered in our clinic.

Choosing the right psychiatrist is an important decision. My practice is designed for individuals who value a more thoughtful, personalized, and in-depth approach to care, without the limitations of insurance-based models.

I work with a limited number of patients so I can provide a higher level of attention, clarity, and continuity in treatment.
